This exclusive event will showcase the culinary expertise of two renowned Michelin-starred chefs: Chef Tom Aikens of The Jade Room + Garden Terrace, the hotel’s distinguished signature restaurant, and Chef Zaiyu Hasegawa of Den.
This unique dinner, available for one evening only, presents a collaboration between two esteemed Michelin-starred chefs.
Chef Tom Aikens, who launched The Jade Room + Garden Terrace at The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon in October 2022, graciously welcomes Chef Zaiyu Hasegawa of Den in Jingumae, Tokyo, as a guest chef for the 4-Hands Dinner.
Under Tom Aikens’ direction, The Jade Room + Garden Terrace celebrates the fusion of Japanese culture and cuisine with contemporary flair, employing diverse and sophisticated culinary techniques. Tom Aikens made culinary history as the youngest British chef ever to attain two Michelin stars, achieving this feat at the age of just 26. In recent years, he has garnered numerous accolades, including a Michelin star in January 2021 for his London-based restaurant Muse, which debuted in 2020.
DEN, under the leadership of Chef Zaiyu Hasegawa, stands as one of the world’s most coveted dining destinations, embodying a “new form of Japanese cuisine” characterised by playfulness and hospitality, while upholding reverence for seasonal ingredients and Japanese culture. The cuisine exudes the comforting warmth of home cooking and has captivated guests from Japan and beyond, as well as fellow chefs. In 2022, Den claimed the top spot in “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants” and ranked an impressive #11 in the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” in both 2019 and 2022. The restaurant earned its second Michelin star in 2023 and has
also been honoured with the Green Star, a new Michelin distinction recognizing sustainable gastronomy.
