This was a new programme for BBC2, a studio set show with myself as the master chef and judge that had to give cooking tasks to all the young chefs, which ranged from making some classic British dishes as well as some more intricate restaurant plated dishes, but all with classic methods of cooking. They even had to blind taste some food to see if they could guess the ingredients and get tested on cooking techniques and naming all the different types of blue food that we eat. I also set them a task of making a dish from a mystery box of ingredients, then they had to create a suitable dish for a Michelin star restaurant. It was a close-run competition, but the chef Dougie McMaster was the ultimate winner.
